The fascinating life of Romanian Smaranda Braescu
All are welcome to this special screening of Smaranda about the fascinating life of Romanian Smaranda Braescu, world-record-holder in skydiving, a woman way ahead of her time. With director Cornel Mituț and other special guests attending the post-movie reception. Originally from Romania, Smaranda broke the absolute world record (for men and women) at skydiving, near Sacramento, in 1932.
Smaranda’s extraordinary accomplishments were recently celebrated by none other than Red Bull, which named a competition after her!
