The Constitution Opens the 12th Annual SEEfest on April 27

The Constitution by Croatian director Rajko Grlic is the Opening night film of the 12th edition of SEEfest on Thursday, April 27 at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, at 7:00 PM.
Winner of the Grand Prize of the Americas at the Montreal World Film Festival, and Best International Feature Film Award of the Santa Barbara Film Festival 2017, among other awards, The Constitution has enjoyed critical and commercial success wherever it was shown.
Tickets are now available for SEEfest Opening gala and screening of The Constitution.

Synopsis of The Constitution
Four very different people live in the same building but avoid each other because of differences in how they live their lives, what they believe in, and where they come from. They would probably never exchange a word, but misfortune pushes them towards each other. Their lives entangle in ways that profoundly challenge deep-held beliefs and prejudices surrounding material status, sexual orientation, nationality, and religion.
Slowly, and even painfully, they begin to open up to each other and recognize the essential humanity each of them possesses.

Rajko Grlić was born in 1947 in Zagreb, Croatia and graduated in film directing at FAMU in Prague, Czech Republic 1971.
Grlić’s films have been shown in cinemas across all five continents, included in competition programmes of leading world festivals, including Cannes, and they have received numerous international awards.
He has worked on five feature films as a scriptwriter and on television series Grlom u jagode (Reckless Years). He has produced five feature films, wrote and directed 16 short films and 14 documentaries for television.
